10 // GIVE THANKS – How to enjoy your morning and win you day
http://cdfstlucia.org/portal/what-we-do/events/calendar-of-events/action~week/time_limit~845870400/request_format~html/ We are all called to give thanks continuously, all the time and with every breath. The Bible is full of commandments about giving thanks. Many of those passages tell us why we should thank God, such as “ He is good” ( Psalm 118:29) , “His love endures forever” (Psalm 136:3) and “His mercy is everlasting” (Psalm 100:5). Many of us “know” this but still lack gratitude.. I believe that if we truly know what God has done for us we would live a lifestyle of praise and gratitude!
http://rivieramaya.info/steadf/popup-pomo.php I try to always start my day with expressing my gratitude. In one season I loved to write the things I`m thankful for that day on post it notes and stick them on my wall or carry it in my wallet for that day so that everytime I take anything from my bag I`m reminded of that one thing. In other seasons I have written one thought in my journal each morning. In other season when I was struggling with wanting complain about many things, I put over 50 thankfulness notes on my room door and sat down each morning to read all of the notes, sometimes out loud. It gave me a perspective of what I actually have.
http://uniquesys.com/product-category/by-industry/broadcast/page/3/ Feeling and expressing appreciation is good for us. God as a wise father wants us to understand and be thankful for all the gifts He has given us (James 1:11). It is in our best interest to be reminded that everything we have is a gift from our good, good father. It is important to fill our minds with what the Lord has done and not with what we don`t have. We as humans have the tendency to fix our eyes on what is wrong and what we don’t have and that’s why I think it’s important to start our days with thanksgiving, basically saying that we choose to see what He has done and choose to to turn our eyes off from every other thing. If we are not grateful, we are self-centered and become arrogant. We start to believe that everything good in our life is because we achieved something. Gratitude keeps us in right relationship with the giver of all things.
http://chrischen.com/destination-wedding-regent-palms-turks-and-caicos-islands-engagement-photos/ When we start thanking God for the things we usually take for granted, our perspective changes. Like when I read all the notes in the mornings. The wall was full of “basic” things like, having food and a roof over my head, being able to go to school and having a healthy family. It is easy to forget. We often in our minds count how many things God has NOT done for us but if we would start counting the things He HAS done, what He has done would always win even when It’s hard to be thankful. We realize that we could not even exist without the merciful blessings from God.
Order Diazepam Overnight Delivery In Colossians 3 Paul lists a bunch of characteristics we as followers of Jesus ought to have, such as: forgiveness, love, kindness, being gentle, patience and a humble heart.
Buy Soma Legally Online Being thankful helps us to live, basically. It`s hard to forgive if we don’t feel thankful for Him for forgiving us. It`s hard to love if we aren’t first thankful for His everlasting love for us. Being thankful for the grace given to us helps us to be more gracious to others. We can not show humility if we aren’t first thankful that Jesus was a humble king. Am I right? All of these characteristics Paul is asking us to have are rooted in thanksgiving. Without thankfulness we can never be who God has called us to be. Think about it. It is hard to look forward with excitement if we aren`t first thankful for what He has done in the past.

Carisoprodol 350 Mg Overdose Knowing God and being thankful go hand in hand. If I`m not totally wrong the hebrew word used for thanks in this scripture passage means: Acknowledging what is right about God in praise and thanksgiving. This definition is completely tied to who God is. The more we know God, the more we should thank and praise Him. The more we know Him, the more we want to praise Him, because we know He is worthy of all praise. To know Him is to love Him!
IDEA FOR TOMORROW:
http://rustcheck.com/?option=com_videoflow Maybe you should try writing a thankfulness list? Or decide to be intentional about thanking God about the things you have? Take some time to just thank Him for who He is when you wake up. Be intentional about this one. Giving thanks doesn’t just affect God but it will affect your own life in a beautiful way.
